I may not be Dr. Frankenstein, but holy hell does it feel good to bring my car back from the dead.
She’s got the heart from a younger model and the body of an old lady, but she’s mine, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Two years this car’s been off the road after a seal (and, no, not an apex seal) went leaking coolant into the oil. It’s been a long slow haul after I moved out of province and left it at my parent’s place, but I came back for Thanksgiving and it looks like she’ll be coming back with me. A couple days of shakedown and then we’re heading a thousand miles inland, roadkill-style.
Hopefully everything stays working.

Congrats! My friend has a very clean 83 in the same color. His still has the original engine though.

Just cold and autumnal. I’m actually near the other coast, smack dab in the middle of BC. Heading into the land of oil and canola.

The front’s actually rattle can black, because this car is far from clean. But the rest of the car is legitimately sun-faded, Mazda black.
